For the love of cakes and all things sweet

As young pastry chefs apprentices, Filippo and Mimma quickly fell in love with cakes and with each other. The husband and wife duo opened their own bakery at West Hoxton in 1995, creating custom cakes and desserts with an authentic Italian flair. Their passion and creativity for all things sweet built a strong reputation for quality ingredients, jaw dropping designs, signature flavours and that personalised friendly service.

Fast forward to 2015, where the pair said goodbye to their shop of twenty years and hello to their custom built, home bakery in Grasmere. Opening the doors to their new location, they continued to help old and new customers celebrate, creating couture cakes for all life’s precious milestones.

It’s hard to imagine a family celebration without Mimma and Filippo. They made my wedding cake all those years ago and every milestone cake for my three girls growing up, even when it was time for their own weddings. Our Sicilian style, pistachio and Chantilly cream continental wedding cake was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted in my life - as were the ricotta cannoli, coffee profiteroles, hazelnut éclairs and almond biscotti.
